Friends with Benefits

Friends with Benefit: A Tale of Dominance and Submission is my latest gay bdsm fiction. I have a lot of love for this story because I genuinely like the two characters I created. Chris is a stage actor and even though he is thirty six, he looks about twenty years old, which is why Gabriel calls him ‘my Dorian Gray’. Chris and Gabriel are long term friends and this story explores how a Dom/sub relationship can be possible between best friends. Gabriel’s experience as a dominant has a lot to do with it, but also Chris’ deep-rooted desire to submit makes it possible.

Every time I write gay bdsm erotica, I try my best to make it sexy and rather delicious for my readers. After all, I do not pretend that the aim of erotica is something else. When I read an erotica, I want to be turned on. Why should I give less to my readers? But a good bdsm story should offer more than that. And there is a plenty of psychological exploration of the BDSM practice in this story, even though they are discovered through the emotions and thought processes somewhat peculiar to the characters.

I said in another blog posted in another site that BDSM introduces elements of control and discipline into sex, without it sex can quickly become monotonous and rather boring. BDSM stories do not make much sense without understanding the feelings, desires and needs of characters involved. And I explore them in my writings and hope the readers can see that it adds to the sexiness of the stories I write.

My writing

So, I’ve finally bitten the bullet and decided to publish eBooks with Amazon Kindle Store. And well, I did just that. Within a space of ten days, I’ve managed to publish three eBooks, and while I haven’t sold many units so far, it still feels great to know that there are people out there who are willing to part with their money for what I’ve written. And considering no one is marketing my books and I cannot possibly ask any of my family and friends to read (let alone buy) my writing, I feel positive about it all.

What do I write? At the moment, I write bdsm stories involving men. I used to write fan fictions and at the time, I told my readers that I have no ambition to become a professional writer. I wrote for fun and I thought that would always be the case. But hey, writing gay BDSM stories took me to this road of self publishing. I wonder how far it will take me. Will I find my kind of readers? Will they find me? I find BDSM sexy because it’s more than a simple matter of inserting A into slot B. It’s much more than just the physical motion. In my view, sex is never exciting without emotions involved and there is so much play of psychology in BDSM practice. I write my stories without an apology and hope to meet those who read them in the same manner.
